My name is Josh Parker. I was born in Boston, the son of Russian Jews and was launched straight out of the Boston Latin School into a sea of Irishmen at the Russian Desk of the Central Intelligence Agency at Langley. I was eased into early retirement to teach sailing and Slavic languages at Boston University until Russian General Viktor Valentyn started selling weapon grade cesium to terrorists. That's when my old boss at the CIA sent me fishing in Nicaragua for master drug smuggler, Juan Pedro Bolognos, the disowned brother of the President of Nicaragua and dirty bomb delivery boy of Mid-Eastern terrorists.

After snatching the nukes, Bolognos and a female companion apparently killed General Valentyn and drove out of a Kazakhstani nuclear storage vault to Moscow where Bolognos savagely murdered the woman. Narrowly eluding the Federal Security Service in Moscow, he changed identity and drove another young woman to St. Petersburg where he cleverly shipped his car by freighter to Baltimore as a red herring and secreted the nuclear materials at The Hermitage inside an exhibit traveling to Panama.

Arriving in Nicaragua, I fished the decaying body of my undercover contact out of the river and escaped death at the hands of the sadistic Colonel Flores, only to face an unforgiving jungle. While my CIA boss relies on his top agent, Matt Walker to find me, the beautiful wife of my murdered contact, Karla Vanessa Vega, rescues me from Colonel Flores by hiding me with Meskito natives. Bolognos picks up his nuclear package in Panama and follows his drug route toward the United States. The Agency is convinced that the nukes are headed into Baltimore and recalls Walker, but he refuses to leave. Karla Vanessa, Matt Walker and I meet and confront Bolognos in the dangerous rivers of Central America in a high-powered speed boat chase, onto the Pan-American highway and finally in New York City where Karla Vanessa is killed and a nuclear holocaust is averted at the last second - and that's when I learn who is really behind the plot to destroy America.
